The Phoenix Suns will explore the trade market for Greg Monroe before engaging on buyout talks.

The Suns acquired Monroe as part of the Eric Bledsoe trade.

Monroe is on a $17.8 million expiring contract and doesn’t fit into the Suns’ long-term plans.

Monroe is unlikely to remain with the Suns past the trade deadline or buyout deadline.

The Suns will need a roster spot by Dec. 6th when the two-way contract of Mike James needs to convert into a regular roster spot.
